The Great British Cake Off : Cake & Bake Show

 { Yummy Cake Pops! }
If, like me, the Great British Bake Off has inspired you to don your pinny and start baking (see my Burger Cupcakes here!) then the Cake & Bake show is a perfect day out for you!
Last weekend, Earls Court was taken over by the show and along with hundreds of other amateur aspiring bakers, the girls & I headed across town for inspiration and instructions on how to bake the most fabulous cakes.
If you didn’t make it to the show, take solace in my gallery of creations, my favourite exhibits from the day:
{ I have to admit, these homemade marshmallows turned out far better than mine! }
{ The Betty Crocker tutorial gets everyone whisking! }
{ The coolest meringues I have ever seen! By the fabulous Meringue Girls. Stocked in Selfridges and Harvey Nichols AND they have a cookbook out. Next Big Thing alert!}

{Hen’s Kitchen – Gluten free cookies, honestly THE MOST fantastic biscuits I’ve EVER eaten. And I’ve eaten a lot! }

{ Some more Gluten free delights from Hen’s Kitchen. Having a last minute party? They hand deliver the very next day if you order before 4pm and live in London, zones 1-3 }

{ Hen’s Kitchen’s brownies, perfect for children’s birthday parties! Delish.  }

{ A slightly more savoury treat! }

{ The girls got a little distracted by Pick n Mix! }
{This guy is moulding a person out of chocolate! }
{ Everything you see here is made from cake! I can’t believe it either. }
{ A vintage tea party at Tea with Tom }
{ The lovely ladies of Tea with Tom }
{ Superbly delicious L’orchidee Macarons – based in London }

{ The winner of the Cake Catwalk, Sponsored by Vogue }
Feeling inspired after the Cake & Bake show, I now can’t wait to start doing some more baking at home, so keep a look out for my upcoming posts!
One day I hope to be as good as Charlie’s cousin, Emma, check out her delicious treats on her blog: Forever Baking.
Have you got any ideas on what I can experiment on next? Let me know!
