I think it is testament to the amazingness of this toner that I am about to dedicate an entire post to it. I mean, it’s toner! But, not just any toner, this Origins Zero Oil Pore Purifying toner comes with big promises, and it definitely doesn’t disappoint.
Two of the key ingredients are Saw Palmetto and Laminaria Saccharina – I may as well of just leant on my keyboard because they mean nothing to me! But they work to inhibit excess oil production and now that we are slowly but surely creeping into the Summer months, this works miracles on my skin.
If, like me, your foundation starts to slide off around mid day, then thank the heavens (or just Origins) for the Salicylic Acid in this toner – it stimulates exfoliation at the skins surface and works to minimise and unclog pores which means a less oily face, and less need for heavy foundation.
The toner has also helped to reduce some of my blemishes. The other fabulous natural ingredients like Aloe Leaf Juice, Spearment essential oil and Lavender essential oil not only smell divine, but also smooth and calm red or blemished skin.
After just one week of using this toner, I have noticed a visible reduction in the appearance of my pores (which previously were visible from afar!) on my nose and T-zone and no longer have to constantly powder my face while at work or on a night out, as the toner has given my skin an overall more matte texture. I prefer the glowy look personally so still achieve this with my trusty Nars foundation and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder – I’m much happier faking it than risking a full on face melt down!
So, my overall opinion of this toner, as if you havn’t already guessed? I’m in love! And never looking back.
