Beach OOTD : The Bikini Edit

I have a confession – for our 7 day holiday…. I packed no less than 15 bikinis. FIFTEEN! Yes, it’s excessive, and the worst part is, I probably only wore 4 of them. You know how it is when some of them look way better than the others, so why bother wearing the less nice ones, right?!
I hate tan lines, so actually spent most of the trip in a black and white polka dot bikini from ASOS which has a tiny bandeau style top, and mini almost thong-like bottoms, but I don’t have pics of that one!

We headed to the beautiful Pink Beach on the National Park beach of Patara, so it only seemed fitting that I chose my bright Victoria Secret bikini! I love the mix of neon colours in this bikini, I always think that neons complement every shade of your tanning journey on holiday!
Oh, and it also matches my fave drink – strawberry milkshake!
No Summer 2014 holiday bikini post would be complete without a Triangl Bikini! They are everywhere this season and I’m in love with my Dakota Superfly bikini in coral and black & white, available here. Triangl ship worldwide from Australia, but beware – it’s pricey to return. I’d say the sizes are quite petite – in the UK, extra small bikinis are sometimes a little loose on me, but this bikini in XS is very snug (or maybe i’ve had one too many Macaroni Cheeses before holiday!).
If, like me, you have a small (non-existent) bust, then I recommend their styles with the bandeau top. The bra-like Milly styles look absolutely stunning, but the thickness of the neoprene fabric with no additional padding means they are a little… empty let’s just say!

I’m also a fan of mixing & matching – I love this bikini top from Seafolly at Figleaves – it has little removable padded pieces, and the straps can be adjusted for the perfect fit. It has flecks of lots of different colours in it, so you can match it with different coloured bottoms, but I chose a simple black tie pair from Reiss.
So there’s a little snapshot of my bikinis from this trip – I wish I had tried on my ‘last year favourites’ before confidently slinging them into my suitcase – it’s amazing how a bikini that you loved last year can somehow look so unflattering the next! So, if you are packing for a beach getaway, make sure you test out all your bikinis!
