My Long Haul Flight Travel Essentials

Travel Essentials - long haul flightTravelling in Style

Today, I am so very lucky enough to be making my way to Costa Rica, for my very first mission as a Piz Buin Sun Ambassador. I know, I can hardly believe it myself, lucky doesn’t quite cover it! I’ll be spending 6 days in the tropical climate along with 4 other European bloggers, spreading the message about tanning safely, and enjoying a range of activities from sunrise yoga to jungle treks!

To get there, it’s an 11 hour flight, via Miami, so comfort to me is hugely important but of course I absolutely have to travel in style. Airplane air conditioning can make things chilly so I start building my look with a soft jumper, and this grey marl knit is a recent favourite – it’s relaxed but still stylish. While you’ll never catch me in tracksuit bottoms in public, these soft patterned cigarette trousers mix comfort with casual chic. A little jewellery never hurt either, so i’ll be choosing a delicate necklace, my new Daisy Dixon watch and my usual rings by Monica Vinader and Swarovski to complete the look.

My additional accessories today will include a backpack (because I’m also taking a carry-on suitcase, so no hands for my usual handbag!) and I still adore my Radley Neal St backpack, as well as a pair of mink sunglasses ready for landing, and my incredibly comfortable pebble Vans (something that I’m still not sure if I’m cool enough to get away with!)

As for my essentials, long haul flights mean a few solid hours of productive work for me, so my laptop and Frends headphones are the first things I pack, but then for when I want to nod off, my Olivia Von Halle silk eye mask means I can enjoy a bit of luxury while I doze!

For the rest of my inflight essentials, head over to my YouTube channel to watch my ‘What’s In My Carry-On‘ video and take a peek inside my rucksack.

I can’t wait to share my Costa Rica adventures with you, be sure to be following on Instagram and Snapchat (JosieLDN) to see what we get up to!

Have a super day!
