Five Fall Favourites
I don’t know about you, but seasonal changes to me are the ultimate excuse to completely revamp my wardrobe, and by revamp, I mean buy a ton of new things. It can get excessive, overwhelming even, but there are always going to be a few key pieces that truly stand out from the rest.
Over the past few weeks where I have been building my Autumn wardrobe, a few items have reoccurred in multiple #ootds (you’ve probably already spotted them on my Instagram!) so today I wanted to share why they are such firm favourite for the Autumn season.
Firstly, this nude oversized waterfall coat. It set me back just £35 and was a perfect way for me to wear my favourite pastel shade, but with an autumnal edge. It’s not the warmest as it’s just one layer of bonded fabric, so I’m determined to wear it while the temperatures are still mild – but it’s oversized enough to layer over some more wintery knits too later in the year.
My second favourite are my boots. Each Autumn season I like to treat myself to a new pair of black boots, and this year I discovered a perfect pair fairly quickly! Usually it takes me weeks to find the right pair, but this black heeled boot with unusual circle buckle immediately caught my eye. At £89.99 they’re middle of the range – I don’t like to go much cheaper with boots as they get so much use, and if they’re not leather I know my feet will be suffering before too long.
My accessories are always important to me, and my style is timeless so that when I invest in a beautiful new piece, it’s style remains on trend for years to come. The newest addition to my watch collection is this rose gold bracelet watch from Henry London via John Lewis – I just adore the classic and elegant design, and I think it looks far more expensive than it’s actual price tag. It adds instant glamour to an #ootd, perfect for an everyday look but equally as fabulous when dressed up as part of an evening outfit. It’s luxurious and practical with an easy to read watch face, perfect for everyday wear.
Another accessory favourite is my Valentino Rockstud Glam Lock bag. You’ve heard me rave about this many a time before and my love for it is still going strong. It’s the perfect size for all my essentials, and I just love wearing it over the body, making it practical, secure and effortlessly stylish.
Finally a classic white wrap blouse – a steal at just £22, this bodysuit works with so many outfits. In the cooler months it’s a perfect layering piece, but simply paired with jeans it looks timeless and perfectly feminine.
I’d love to know what your favourite Autumnal fashion essentials are, have you made any new discoveries lately?
