With thousands of trends, shapes and styles presented over London Fashion Week over many different locations across the capital, it can be hard to keep track of the key looks for next season! Here, I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite looks from the shows, and pinpointed the trends which I think will be big for SS14, and also taken to Somerset House to see what the fashionistas are wearing right now.

Soft neutral colours mixed with modern cut silhouettes featured regularly throughout fashion week, with clean lines and tailoring juxtaposed against soft blown up floral prints. Sheer, jewelled and asymmetric detailing lighten the mood for SS14 – this is one trend I can not wait to wear!

Mouth watering sherbet shades were the palette of choice for many designers; nothing new for spring trends but this season they are amped up with shots of fuchsia, cerise, orchid and coral. A stronger ‘cinematic perspective’ on the silhouette was seen at Peter Pilotto, with digital prints kicking out onto enormous flared skirts.

Chunky horizontal stripes were presented in shades from pretty pastel pinks to stormy midnight blues in silks, leathers and even chiffon, bringing drama to simple silhouettes. Although a design that will no doubt be trickled down to the high street before the spring even arrives, I’m sure it will be a detail found in every editors wardrobe.
So I headed over to see all the action at Somerset house, and was amazed at the colourful styles being rocked outside the catwalk tent by fashionistas, bloggers, buyers, and designers; here are some of my favourites:

And no trip to Somerset house would be complete without a trip to the shop! A few designers were selling their designs from the current season, including Marcus Lupfer, House of Holland and Sophia Webster.

Buzzing with excitement and umbrellas as the shows draw to a close, you can still catch some of the fun by attending London Fashion Weekend, from this Thursday, when Somerset House will be brimming with catwalk shows, pop up shops, hair and beauty tutorials and you can also get your Autumn Winter clothes fix from the many brands.
Sound good? See you there!
