Battle of the Coral Lip Crayons!

{ Battle of the Coral Lip Crayons – Revlon Colourburst & Topshop Lip Bullet }
{ Wearing Topshop Lip Bullet in ‘Heartbeat’ }

Last summer, I lived in coral lipsticks. My absolute fave was a Chanel, and I was at a loss when it finally ran out; and as it was drawing into Autumn I didn’t repurchase as I thought I might be over coral by this spring, but far from it!
I think coral suits most skin types, but especially when you have a tan! As you can see from the pic above I am super pale right now, but I think a coral lip kind of distracts from that and adds some colour to my face. So the search began again as soon as the sun started to come out, and so far, these are my favourite corals:

Ok so the Clinique isn’t coral, but I really love the texture of the Chubby Sticks and I thought as I was writing about crayons, it just deserved a mention 🙂
The Topshop Lip Bullet is a slightly pinker coral shade, so I love it for this time of year, it’s such a pretty colour. I usually apply some balm (like Maybelline Baby Lips) first thing in the morning, and by the time I’m ready to leave the house, my lips are soft enough to give a good base for the lip crayon. I always blot with a tissue, even though this isn’t hugely neccessary with a lip crayon – I just prefer the finish.
The Revlon Colourburst crayon is the far left swatch in the image above, and is a more intense colour, but doesn’t provide as much hydration as the Topshop Lip Bullet. It has a velvetty matte texture which is great as long as your lips are hydrated.
The Topshop Lip Bullet, in ‘Heartbeat’ has a more dewy finish, and has relatively good staying power, I have to re-apply after 4 hours after sipping on a few cocktails!

Price wise the two are basically identical, Revlon £7.99 at Topshop at £8.

Personally I will be repurchasing the Topshop over the Revlon, as I slightly prefer the shade, but if you are looking for a coral lip crayon, then I highly recommend both the Topshop and Revlon options!
