There are so many reasons to love the new Urban Decay Ultra Nourishing Lip Glosses! From the excitement of the Naked3 palette, I was excited to see if their other products were equally as fabulous, but, as a matte-lip lover, was prepared to be a little averse to the glosses. Urban Decay however have won me over with their luxe lip gloss – the perfect lip complement to a Naked smokey eye.
The glosses offer a subtle colour – my favourite being ‘Liar’ – a light pop of warm pink without the dryness of a lipstick. If you are looking for a more intense coverage, you could use the glosses over a lip colour, but for a nearly ‘Naked’ look, the glosses give just enough of a hint of colour.
Because they are a balm, and not a gloss, they don’t have any stickiness to them – an added bonus on windy days! The texture also gives them more longevity than a traditional, I don’t need to reapply for a few hours. Here’s the sciencey bit; the balms contain hyaluronic filling spheres, vitamin E, avocado oil, shea butter and rose hip seed oil, all nourishing ingredients.
I also love getting Naked in public – no, i’m not confessing some strange nudity habit but rather my love of the chic rose gold tubes. Also, they are so easy to apply with the doe-foot shaped applicator that you don’t need a mirror, so they are easy to apply anywhere. The glosses are ultra hydrating and with the applicator they are very easy to apply – I hate it when you have to dip your finger into a pot of balm so these are the perfect solution.
