With ten eyeshadows ranging from soft, demure neutrals all the way to intense heavily pigmented glitzy shades, the palette contains all the variations you need to create a glitzy smokey eye, or a neutral everyday look with taupe and smokey shades. With the handy brush included in the packaging, the only thing I’d change about the palette would be to include a little mirror in the lid – but then I guess it’s a bit large to take with you on the go – mine hasn’t left my dressing table yet!
The shadows are soft and easily blend-able, and have an understated shimmer. With primer, the shadows lasting power is impressive and the pigment remains bold throughout the day.
The lip glosses have a balmy texture but with the pigmentation of a lipstick, giving lips hydration and a splash of colour. I’m not the biggest fan of applying lipstick from palettes, I usually prefer a tube or lipstick – but I love the shade selection so much that I still find myself reaching for the lip brush! The shades are ideal for whatever makeup look you are creating that day – from a surprisingly pigmented nude, through to intense pinks, corals and reds.
