My blogging schedule went a little out of the window this week, because I’d accidentally scheduled this post for 1st March instead of 1st February, whoops! So, as Valentines is this Saturday (I know!) it’s more of a last minute gift guide! Thankfully all of these items are available online, so even if you’ve left it to the last minute, you can still get your hands on some lovely treats! If you’re celebrating Valentines this year, not just with a loved one, then I hope you find some slightly more unusual gifts in my guide, including hand made jewellery, Etsy gifts and also some can’t go wrong fragrances!
For Her: I think these Bass Buds ear phones are a super gift idea (they have ones for Men too!) because they’re the kind of thing she’ll use often, they’re an upgrade from the usual apple earphones and whenever she uses them, she’ll think of you! Plus all the designs are so pretty with the crystal detail!
If you’re looking to splash out a little bit more, then a watch is a lovely idea. This Storm Slim X watch is a dainty design in Rose Gold, and who doesn’t love Rose Gold! There’s also a male version too, see below!
If you’re a generous gal looking to treat your girlfriends this V day, then the drugstore has some incredible beauty options. Some of my current favourites include the Revlon ColourBurst Lacquer balms available in loads of colours, and also for just under £5 you can get the Sleek Matte Me lip glosses. These are becoming my fave matte lip product as the lasting power is fantastic, and they don’t dry out your lips. For something a little more luxe, you may already know how much I love the (see my January Favourites here for a review!), and these dainty little balms would be a fabulous Valentines ‘stocking filler’! (I so wish that was a thing!)
I don’t know a girl who doesn’t love a nice candle, and there are tons of options out there, it’s pretty overwhelming! Aside from the popular brands, there are lots of artisan candles to be found online, and I’ve recently discovered the incredible range on Etsy. This one looks incredibly luxurious and the fragrance is just dreamy!
Receiving beautiful underwear is such a lovely treat on Valentines, as it’s something we don’t always splash out on for ourselves. A brand that I am loving at the moment is Figleaves. They have so many pretty girly designs in a wide range of sizes. This Lulu Tout Amelie bra is available in sizes A – DD.
For Her:
For a little luxury, Charbonnel et Walker do these seriously cute heart shaped boxes filled with Pink Champagne Truffles – another perfect ‘Valentines Stocking Filler’ or just a little something if buying big gifts isn’t really your thing.
An easy option of course is to buy your girl some beautiful jewellery, and I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love these chic Monica Vinader bracelets. The one in the image above is a Fiji Diamond Toggle Bracelet with grey chord, and I think it is simply stunning. Adding an elegant shine to any outfit, it’s simple enough to be worn with any outfit, and the diamonds add a luxe touch making it perfect for special occasions. If that’s a little above your budget, the Fiji Chain Bracelets are a wonderful alternative, and both can be personalised with a handwritten message.
Also from Monica Vinader in the image below is their Baja ring, a beautiful art deco inspired Rose Gold ring with a Multi Faceted Grey Agate gemstone. This elegant ring is a piece to be cherished and it’s timeless look won’t go out of style.
For Him:
Oopsy, I got a bit carried away with gift for girls! To treat your man, you can’t go wrong with the classic sexy scent of Calvin Klein, and even the name of this one just shouts out ‘Pick me for Valentines day!’ Eternity is strong and masculine, but with a warm note of woody tones.
For Him:
Something he may not treat himself to, but will love to use, is some great skincare. There are options for every budget, so use your beauty wisdom to treat your man to a new skincare routine. From the highstreet, my favourite brand (and my boyfriend’s!) is Nip + Man. Their not only has a cool name which will make your man feel more OK about receiving a beauty product, but it also works a treat, or so I’m told! The lotion gives a cooling sensation over shaved skin, and helps skin to heal through nourishing and moisturising. It’s currently reduced on ASOS, so you can add one to your order when buy your V day outfit!
If you’re fed up of your man stealing your luxurious skincare products then treat him to some luxury of his own with the Clarins Men skincare range. My boyfriend loves the Line Control Cream – he isn’t concerned about wrinkles but just wants to tighten the skin on his face, and this cream is energising with Bison Grass and Chinese Galanga and also helps to block skin damaging pollutants. It gives a fresh matte finish, and isn’t greasy, so is suitable of most skin types. Warning – if you do treat your man to this luxe skincare, it may just open a can of worms and he’ll be lusting over your
The guy version of the girl’s watch I mentioned above is this lazer blue Slim-X watch from Storm. It’s a timeless style and the slim metal design will look super with either a smart suit, or dressed down with jeans and a tee.
For fragrances for her you may be overwhelmed by all the options out there, but the Clavin Klein Eternity Fragrance for her is hard not to love. It isn’t overly girly and can be worn as an everyday fragrance so that every time she spritzes it, she will think of you!! It has fantastic lasting power, so just this small bottle will last for months to come.
A drugstore favourite of mine is the Soap & Glory Mist you Madly spray. Again I think the name is just perfect for Valentines, and this spicy / floral scent is another easy pleaser. It won’t break the bank but the pretty packaging and gorgeous fragrance will definitely be a winner.
Finally, and the gift that I’m most excited about is this handmade love heart jewellery from Fiction Candy Jewellery. The love heart charms are all individually hand made, and both the bracelet and the sterling silver pendant are perfect gifts for the girl who has everything. You can bet that she doesn’t have these! The love heart charm necklace in particular is such a pretty delicate piece, and you can choose from a range of messages on the heart, ranging from the cute My Girl, or I Love You, to fun things like Wild Child, or Crazy! There’s also a range of accessories for men, such as Love Heart Cufflinks, with saying like ‘My Hero‘! How cute is that!
