Happy Monday! Not something I’d usually say but as it’s a bank holiday then I feel like it’s acceptable! Today I’m going to be spending some time pampering and preparing myself for the week ahead; face masks, tanning, and of course nails! There are some beautiful trend colours out there at the moment but for me you just can never go wrong with some classic nude shades, and as always, Essie has bought out some seriously fabulous options!
On the left, the caramelly shade called Picked Perfect is a soft taupe shade with a little more warmth in it to the taupes that I previously owned. It’s almost skin colour so looks so elegant when applied and gives the illusion of longer, more dainty fingers – so pretty! I’m currently wearing this one with Essie’s Summit of Style glitter polish as an ombré effect.
The top polish is Ballet Slippers – perfectly named for this colour! It’s a dusky pink shade which I think would flatter all skin shades, and a colour which won’t be going out of style any time soon. It’s quite a mature pink, in no way too girly or childish – I just adore it.
Finally, the lightest of the three is Vanity Fairest. This is a ‘no polish, polish’ – just one coat can give a beautiful soft wash of light pink but without being too opaque (ideal for french manicures) or a couple of coats will give your nails a soft pink coverage. I can imagine this being the polish of choice for many Spring brides – it would perfectly set off a sparkly ring without being too much of a distraction!
I’m going to do a tutorial for how to use the Ciate Geltox Nail Kit (which I spoke about in my ASOS Haul Video here) so let me know if there’s a particular Essie shade that you’d like me to try it with!
