Preparing the Home for Christmas

For many of us, this weekend will be the time that we fill our homes with festivity – choosing the tree,  bringing decorations out of their boxes, and searching the stores for new beautiful ornaments to decorate our homes with. This year, Charlie and I decided to invest in some beautiful traditional Christmas ornaments, the types that you bring out year after year, and fortunately for us, had a dazzling selection to choose from, including some beauties which had already gone down into the sale.

We opted for a mixture of gold and white  – our tree is a colourful selection of ornaments which each hold treasured memories, and the extra sprinkling of white and gold gave the tree a more luxurious feel.

We also chose a few baubles and ribbons to decorate a garland which we decorate our stair banister with, as well as an unusual(just £3.15!), and matching white and goldin preparation for our annual Christmas Jumper party!

Finally, we decided to treat ourselves to some new lounge additions to add a cosy and warm feel to the living areas, including a small selection ofand a sumptuous throw perfect for those chilly evenings.
