Get Your Skin Glowing
Whether you’re preparing for your own big day, or have a special occasion this Summer, having glowing, healthy looking skin is an instant way to feel more confident, and allow your makeup to look it’s best. Ideally, you want to begin your skincare prep as far in advance as you possibly can, I’d suggest 3 months or more, and nothing makes a bigger difference than a thorough cleansing routine. Living in London, my skin is challenged on a daily basis by pollution; fumes, dirt and chemicals are not only on the roads and underground network in central London, but in our homes too, and our skin isn’t happy about it! Instead of cleansing before bed, I like to cleanse as soon as I’m home in the early evening, getting the day’s dirt and makeup (not a nice thought I know!) off my skin as soon as possible, and give plenty of time for my skin to breathe before I go to bed.
A thoroughly pampering and incredibly effective product to use for this deep cleanse is the Elemis Pro Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm. I use a micellar water on a reusable cotton pad first to remove makeup, and then deep cleanse and massage my skin with the Cleansing Balm. With a heavenly light scent, the most delicious consistency, it truly is the best part of my evening routine. I apply a grape sized amount to my skin, and massage it in using circular motions to remove any remaining dirt from my complexion.
