Our Valentine’s Gift & Date Night Outfit Guide!
Gosh, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s or Galentine’s this year, I’ve got some great outfit options for you, as well as some gift ideas to treat that special someone, or yourself!
Valentine’s Date Night Outfits
If you’re heading out for a lovely Valentine’s dinner, lunch, theatre show, or going out with the girls this Valentine’s Day, I’ve got some fabulous outfit ideas for you. First up is this wonderful pink midi dress from LK Bennett. I purchased this dress last year, but luckily it is still in stock in several sizes and colour ways. Be sure to wear a thermal vest under this one if you live somewhere chilly! The dress would pair beautifully with these ivory pearl detail heels and gold mini tote bag, both also from LK Bennett.
For a more formal evening; such as pre-dinner cocktails in a swanky hotel bar, followed by a delicious dinner in a luxurious restaurant, this tulip red midi dress would be a very elegant option that would suit ladies of all ages. To complete this look, I’d have my hair back in a low bun, and would add some statement earrings, such as these by Oscar de la Renta.
Carrying on this romantic colour scheme of pinks and reds, is this gorgeous pink blouse from Reiss. The blouse would look wonderful tucked into a pair of these white tailored trousers from Abercrombie & Fitch, with some dazzling pink Mach & Machs and a vanilla Strathberry to tie in the colour palette of the outfit.
Valentine’s Gift Guide
When it comes to Valentine’s gifting, I like to keep things simple. Rather than buying a huge selection of lavish gifts, I think one or two smaller, yet thoughtful gifts is all you need. If your Valentine or Galentine loves to be pampered, an ESPA oil diffuser or a geranium bath oil from Bamford would be a great option.
A beautiful coffee table book based on one of your partner’s hobbies could be an excellent choice. If they’re into cooking, you could go for The Farm Table by Julius Roberts. If they’re into gardening, you could try Sarah Raven’s A Year Full of Veg.
A fool-proof gift that would work for pretty much anyone would be an Ocean Bottle – not only is it a high-quality and very useful gift, but your purchase will also benefit the environment; as for every ocean bottle bought, 1000 plastic bottles are prevented from reaching the ocean. Another fool-proof gift would be a mulberry silk sleep mask. This would make an excellent last minute gift, as it’s available for next day delivery, plus these masks come in a range of gorgeous shades.
And potentially the most thoughtful gift of all could be a beautifully written card. I’ve found a great selection of options, from this sweet card available at Selfridges, to this more simple card from amazon.
