The Ultimate Best of British Christmas Gift Guide

The Ultimate Best of British Christmas Gift Guide

When it comes to Christmas shopping here in the UK, we are totally spoilt for choice with so many British businesses producing high-quality, gorgeous products. Charlie & I love to support British businesses, and so we thought it would be a great idea to create a Christmas gift guide championing a selection of our favourite British businesses!

Holland Cooper

Holland Cooper’s ethos is all about creating timeless investment pieces that you can rewear year after year. It’s this fact that makes Holland Cooper an excellent brand for gifting. Our top gift ‘for him’ is the iconic men’s gilet which comes in a range of colours, while a cosy pair of Sherpa slippers would be a fabulous gift for any of the ladies in your life. Daylesford

If you’re ever stuck on what Christmas present to buy someone, whether they’re a partner, a mum, an uncle or a child, I challenge you not to find something perfect for them from Daylesford. They have such an incredible range of products from cute Christmas decorations, to incredible hampers; and you can shop all of my top picks here.

Nyetimber

If you’d like to champion British produce as well as British businesses, a bottle of Nyetimber makes a great gift for colleagues, family members and friends alike. The grapes are grown in the south of England, and the resulting sparkling wine rivals even the top Champagnes.

Naturalmat

Naturalmat were ahead of the curve when they started producing beds and bedding made only of organic, natural and non-toxic materials in Devon back in 1999. Over the years they’ve expanded their range and they now sell gorgeous throws, bed linen, and feather pillows which would make the perfect Christmas gifts.

Le Chameau

When I think of Le Chameau, I think of gallivanting around the English countryside on a gorgeous walk, being able to splash through streams and traverse muddy fields in comfort, without having to compromise on style. Le Chameau’s wellies would be an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys spending time in the countryside, as they offer beautifully crafted wellies for men and women, as well as some adorable options for children.

The Oak & Rope Company

The Oak & Rope Company is a brand that we’ve been a customer of for several years now. Based in Kent, they are a small business who produce an incredible range of oak homeware which can be personalised. We’ve got several house-name signs from them, as well as chopping boards, and our newest obsession; our Strawtop Cottages match boxes! Be sure to get your order in soon if you’re looking to get something personalised. Use code IRONS24 for 10% off.

Morris & Co

If you know someone who is into timeless British design, then a gift from Morris & Co could be a fantastic idea. A set of dessert plates, a beautifully patterned umbrella, or a set of lovely hand lotions would all be suitable for gifting to friends or family members; and with the added convenience of these products being available on Amazon with next day delivery – they are a great last minute gift idea!

Vivobarefoot

Since learning about how damaging it is to keep your feet confined in inflexible shoes all day everyday, I’ve hardly worn anything but Vivobarefoot shoes while in the gym and out on country walks. If you have a family member who complains of foot pain, knee pain, or even hip pain, get them a pair of Vivobarefoot shoes for Christmas; we’d recommend starting with the Primus Lites for training, and the Tracker Boots for hiking. Code JOSIE25 will get you 25% off your order until 6th December (you must be logged into an account to use the code).

The British Blanket Co

If you have a family member or friend who is typically tricky to buy for, how about gifting them a British-made wool blanket? It’s a universal gift that’s practical and yet luxurious; particularly if you go for one of The British Blanket Co’s merino wool throws!

Fairfax & Favor

Fairfax & Favor are probably best known for their high quality boots, such as the iconic Regina boots which come in a range of colour ways. A pair of Fairfax & Favor boots would be such an indulgent gift for a girlfriend, wife or mother. The brand have also launched a menswear line; their men’s Chelsea boots could be the perfect gift for a husband or father.

Joules

Joules is another brand that I associate with the British countryside. Known for their gorgeous knitwear, their rugby shirts and their hardwearing outerwear, Joules is a joyful brand which is great for gifting. A pair of beautiful pyjamas or dachshund slippers would be the perfect gift ‘for her’, whilst some cosy socks would be a great stocking filler ‘for him’.

Bamford

Bamford is a local brand known for their wonderful skincare products, candles, homeware and fashion. If you’re reading this post in November, a fantastic early Christmas present would be the Bamford advent calendar, which is the perfect way to introduce someone to the Bamford brand. Check out my edit if you want even more fabulous gift ideas, from festive reed diffusers to yoga mats.

Ocean Bottle

If you follow us on Youtube or Instagram, I’m sure you will have heard us talk about our love of Ocean Bottle. Ocean Bottle is a company with the noble mission of protecting our oceans; with every sale of one of their products, they prevent 1000 single-use plastic bottles from reaching our oceans. Their reusable bottles and coffee cups are not only saving our planet, but they are also stylish and incredibly practical. They’re lightweight, easy to wash and they keep cool drinks cold and hot drinks hot! Use code JOSIE10 for 10% off everything.

Wild Nutrition

Give the gift of good health this Christmas by sneaking a bottle of Wild Nutrition supplements into your family members’ stockings. If they’re new to the brand perhaps start with the Daily Essentials Multivitamin which you can buy either tailored for men or for women. WILDJOSIE will get you 15% off your Wild Nutrition order.

Barbour

Throughout the cooler half of the year, not a week goes by without me reaching for one of my favourite Barbour jackets. Barbour is such a quintessentially British brand, and it’s a brand that appeals to all ages; I can just as easily imagine a 60 year old farmer or a 6 year old girl wearing a Barbour jacket, which makes it an excellent brand for gifting. Barbour also do lovely scarves, as well as dog harnesses and of course the wax dressing which is the perfect gift for someone who already has a Barbour jacket or two.

Cowshed

If you’re looking for a simple gift for someone you don’t know too well such as a colleague or one of your children’s school teachers, then something from Cowshed could be perfect. I honestly couldn’t think of anyone who wouldn’t be thrilled with a Cowshed discovery set, or a full-size shower gel.
