Insta-Christmas!

Ho Ho Ho! On the third day of advent I can’t help but notice that it’s not just me who has already decked the house in Christmas decorations, you just have to search #Christmas on Instagram to see the millions of images of decorations, trees and presents already popping up.
I’ve decided to do a short, picture heavy post showing you how i’ve been decorating this year, and where you can find some of the decorations 🙂
Stockings on the fire place from Marks and Spencer, however I might attempt to make my own this year and personalise them, i’ll let you know how I get on with that 😉
So I’ve admitted before to being ‘Sale Savvy’ and this includes Christmas decorations. Come Boxing Day you can scoop up gorgeous baubles, tinsel and other decorations for a fraction of the usual selling price. I always head to Paperchase, House of Fraser and John Lewis after Christmas to stock up, and the great thing is, the following year you unpack it all and it is practically brand new! Yay!
I love these snowflakes, they are made to order by Nutmeg on Not On The Highstreet; they look really fab on mirrors and windows and can be seen from the outside too. Unlike some cheaper options which rip, these ones can be peeled off and saved until next year.
I love to choose unique Christmas cards to send to loved ones at Christmas, and I’m obsessed with the Fairisle pattern right now, so I’ve chosen these cards from Rosie & The Boys. Rosie designed the cards after a visit to the Shetland Islands inspired her to create cards based on the infamous knitwear pattern. Many people living on the island still hand knit the jumpers, and these cards are a tribute to their skills and creativity!
Rosie has kindly offered a discount code for Fashion Mumblr readers before 10th December, just enter FMBLOG13 at the checkout on Etsy (click here!)
I have a confession – I am too scared to actually switch on my gas fire (for fear of blowing up the lounge) so instead, I’ve chosen this drift wood candle holder, from The Garden Trading Company (there are stockists all over London!). They have loads of really cute, unique gifts so definitely worth a visit!
