{ My Flash Trash Blogger Event – #FLASHTHATCAKE }
The title of the email read ‘Blogger Event – Free Cake!’ – those girls at My Flash Trash sure know how to attract my attention! So despite the torrential rain and tube strike I made it to the gorgeous Aubaine French Restaurant just off Marylebone High Street for an afternoon of cake decorating with some wonderful bloggers, and the girls from online jewellery boutique, My Flash Trash.
The fabulous folk at Aubaine laid out a feast of delicious Macaroons and delicate french pastries, it’s a good job I wasn’t wearing my skinny jeans!
We were shown a selection of the latest pieces from My Flash Trash, ranging from delicate diamante rings, to waxed friendship bracelets. I chose a very cute gold plated double ring from the collection, similar can be found here. (See below for pics of me wearing it!)
{ My gorgeous new ring! }
We were presented with a couple of cupcakes as well as loads of tasty colourful pieces for decorating! So as us bloggers and the My Flash Trash girls chatted merrily over tea and fresh juice, secretly the battle was on as to who could create the most fabulous cupcake!
{ I couldn’t keep my hands off the Macarons! }
{ Serious Concentration Face! }
{ Me mid decoration! }
{ Without a doubt the most creative cupcakes were made by the lovely Carrie! }
{ I love Paula from ThePhoDiaries blog’s floral masterpiece – it reminds me of those swimming caps from High School Musical! }
{ I tried to write Fashion Mumblr, and failed. }
As well as gorging myself with countless Mango Creams, I also learnt a lot about My Flash Trash at the blogger event. Not just any online jewellery site, My Flash Trash carefully selects pieces from up and coming designers, as well as an eclectic mix of the coolest international designers.
You may have heard of My Flash Trash due to it’s famous founder – Amber Atherton who starred in Made In Chelsea, but did you know she was also listed as the 5th most influential person on Vogue’s 2012 Digital Power list – go girl!
Amber also studied Fashion Management at London College of Fashion ( yep – that’s the course I’m soon to complete! ) and is often applauded for her fabulous style.
So thank you to the team at My Flash Trash for a wonderful afternoon, and to Aubaine for being such fab hosts! Be sure you keep an eye on their website which is relaunching very soon 🙂
