This isn’t the first time this Suede Skirt has appeared on the blog…
… and it probably won’t be the last. A recent addition to my Spring wardrobe that I simply can’t stop wearing is this light tan suede skirt; it just seems to elevate every outfit, adding instant elegance and polish. The trend for suede skirts has risen in popularity since last summer especially, and they’re equally fashionable in a variety of colour ways. Oxblood, black, even emerald green shades as well as navy with visible white stitching were popular colour choices for AW16, but now that spring is here, it’s the lighter shades that are taking the spotlight.
At just £40, is already providing me with excellent price per wear, and in my previous blog post, I styled it a little more casually with flats and a white jumper. This time, I’m sharing a way to elevate your look with a suede skirt paired with a feminine blouse, heels and a luxe handbag, all of which follow my favourite blush colour palette. By styling the skirt as the one part of the #ootd without a pink hue, it stands out, attracting the eye; and yet it’s soft shade makes it versatile to work with whatever colours you feel most comfortable in.
It isn’t just the skirt that I adore about this #ootd. The e is a very new addition to my wardrobe and it’s pussybow neckline and fluted sleeves give it even more of a feminine finish. The light pastel shade is flattering on the skin, and thankfully the material, while delicate, is also not one to crease every single time you move.
This is timeless with it’s classic quilted design, yet the fold over detail and chunky strap give it a modern edge – it’s size and the fact that you can simply sling over your shoulder make it perfect for everyday wear, and it’s already become my go-to spring handbag.
As I was meeting the girls for cocktails, I decided to finish the look with heels. This look would look equally fabulous with pretty flats or even a pair of more casual sandals, but I couldn’t resist wearing my new . They also make for the perfect pair to add a hint of colour to a black LBD too, so I’m positive that these new suede beauties will get plenty of use throughout the year.
Finally, my usual jewellery! A mix of rose gold and diamond embellished pieces, mostly from my favourite; Monica Vinader. The ring is a long-time favourite of mine, it looks so elegant and feminine, and works with every single look that I create. A new jewellery obsession of mine (and a far less expensive obsession at that!) is Astrid & Miyu. You’ll have spotted lots of their pieces in recent outfit posts and videos, and today I am wearing the ” as an elegant way to accessorise.
