The Affordable Summer Dress That Works for Every Occasion

It’s official, Summer is in full swing…

… and the one piece that we all crave for our wardrobes is a great dress to see us through these boiling hot days. But finding The One can be a lot easier said than done. A lot of the stunning dresses on the rails right now are bank breaking, and window shopping just makes the need for the perfect dress even more intense. Panic not though, I’ve been doing some hunting, and I’ve found what I believe to be the perfect Summer dress; and it’s under £50 – win!

The dress is question is this ladylike, elegant and most importantly – lightweight dress from Wallis. The material is almost undetectable on the body, which is exactly what I crave on these Summer scorchers that us Brits are simply unprepared for! As you guys know, for me, it’s all about cost per wear, and thanks to the very purse friendly price tag of this dress, it’s even easier to justify the investment. This dress works not only as a girly work dress, but works equally well for Summer events such as festivals, and even weddings (as I recently put to the test!).

The length finishes just above the knee, making it a modest and elegant design that I’d be more than happy wearing to a day of meetings, and the floral pattern keeps it fresh and feminine. I adore the neckline with the off shoulder detail ticking off another key Summer trend, and of course the vibrant pink shade means it works perfectly in my Summer wardrobe. The dress could certainly be dressed down with flat sandals or even something like converse, but you know me, I’m all about dressing up, so I opted for heeled sandals and you could even go for ‘going out’ shoes to really make this #ootd pop!
