It’s no secret that Spring is my favourite time of year for style, and it’s the time of year that the highstreet absolutely champions – with details such as lace, frills and florals taking centre stage. While yes, I’m a fan of a luxury accessory, and most of my wardrobe basics are from the premium end of the highstreet, there are so many incredibly affordable pieces that make for the most spectacular #ootds at this time of year. The downside of these affordable fashion items however is that they sell out quick! So don’t delay – if you see anything you love – snap it up!
Let’s start by talking about this outfit. I began with the stunning ruffle crop top – £22 and yet it could almost certainly pass as a Zimmerman piece! With a flattering waist band and delicate ruffles around the necklace, it also features ladder detail embroidery that usually would be reserved for higher price point pieces. With it being cropped, I knew I wanted to opt for high waisted trousers, so this white pair with the bow tie waist, and lace hems was absolutely perfect – and another highstreet steal at £60.
My Favourite Spring Tops Under £100
While I couldn’t resist bringing out my new (tell me truthfully – do you love it or hate it?!) I also kept my sandals highstreet – how adorable are these ?! I find both Topshop and River island to be great places to shop for affordable footwear that’s also great quality – they’ll still look and feel fabulous after months of wear, unlike some other more affordable online retailers where the shoe quality I often find is seriously disappointing.
