Florals in Fall
All throughout the year, florals are a core part of my wardrobe. I like to find a way of injecting the feminine print into my wardrobe no matter the season, so as this year the floral patterns continue to flourish on both the highstreet and designer store rails alike, I’m enjoying finding new ways of wearing the pattern into the colder seasons.
Unlike in Spring and Summer when florals can be overly girlie and feminine, there’s something about autumnal florals, paired with a boho style and deeper tones, that make them even more wearable. New to my wardrobe is this rust toned silk dress, with an abstract floral print that’s perfect for transitioning a feminine print into a wearable and smart style.
You could style this with a faux fur gilet and ankle boots for a seriously sixties bohemian look, or with court shoes and a blazer for something a little smarter. I chose these perfect suede boots (another favourite piece in my autumn wardrobe) for a warm and practical touch and a beautiful texture to contrast against the smooth silk dress, and a suede coat to complete the look.
My secret when it comes to this look for the colder months is layering up, and choosing your thermal layers wisely! You’d never know it but I’ve got a long sleeve thermal AND thermal tights on under this outfit, so so cosy! I completed the look with my fave bag of the season – my Chloe Tess, perfect for a luxe finish and adding to the relaxed, stylish bohemian vibe.
Finally, my PANDORA reflexions bracelets and Monica Vinader stacking bracelets which I adore, as well as my Fendi sunglasses – perfect for that low autumnal sunshine.
