5 Satin Midi Skirts To Style This Autumn

It’s no secret that the Satin Midi skirt has become a huge trend this Autumn, and I was a little late to the bandwagon, but now – I’m obsessed! The style is so versatile, a design piece that can work for smart and casual occasions alike, and always looks polished and fabulous. In today’s YouTube video I share 5 ways to style a satin midi skirt, and I wanted to share with you here on the blog, a few more designs that I adore, as sadly my Topshop one is always running low on stock!

So here we have 5 favourites, from the highstreet, which you could style in similar ways to those shown in my video. I adore animal print so when I laid eyes upon this , (1)  I absolutely fell in love! The elegant length of the midi skirts make them lovely for work – and I’d style this with a black or brown roll neck.

The asymmetric hem on this is a lovely feminine detail which can also be so flattering when worn with heeled boots. I love styling satin midis on colder days with thermal tights and knee high boots, my black Stuart Weitzman’s would look fabulous with this, perhaps paired with a chunky cream knit!

Available in navy or brown, this is equally as elegant with a beautiful drape that makes it so perfect for styling with a silk camisole for smarter occasions, or layered up with cosy knits and a gilt for afternoons outside in the autumn sunshine. With a slight kick at the hem giving a fishtail shape, it’s the perfect silhouette to frame your footwear worn underneath.

If a plain satin skirt is too simple for you, the gives an extra texture which is fun to contrast against a sleek blouse or plain knit. I’d pair with a plain white tee, a cross body bag, and perhaps some statement necklaces to balance out the look!

See today’s youTube video for how I styled the Topshop Satin Midi, and let me know in the comments below if you’ve invested in this trend yet, and how you’re wearing your satin midi!
