Ah, Spring in London!
Whether you’re a local and commute through London every day, or you are yet to visit our fabulous Capital city, I’m pretty certain you’ll have seen snap of London in bloom on your Instagram feeds lately! Us brits LOVE to talk about the weather, and we get extremely excited at this time of year when the grey, gloomy days fade away to reveal sparkling fresh, crisp mornings, blue skies and the trees come into blossom all throughout the city. Whether it’s someone twirling under a stunning bright pink magnolia tree, or a perfectly planned outfit shoot close to London’s most photographed Cherry Blossom tree, it’s too beautiful NOT to take some snaps with the blossom at this time of year. Instagram cliche or not, I couldn’t give a hoot, because this weekend I made a trip to Stanley Crescent near Notting Hill, with a co-ordinating outfit all planned out, to shoot some photos here, and I have to admit, I think they’re my favourite photos EVER!
My #ootd for the day was this fabulous bohemian long floral dress, I adore the ruffles and details, paired with my Casntañer wedges (currently 15% off on NET-A-PORTER) and beautiful Polené basket bag.
Stanley Crescent benefits from two large, blooming blossom trees, as well as a few bushes with bright pink and white flowers, so take your pic from the blooming backdrops! You don’t need to walk too far for other beautiful backgrounds either, just head toward Westbourne Grove for Wild at Heart, the infamous and instafamous turquoise florist, before makeing your way up to Chepstow Villas and snapping all the blooms along the street.
As well as around Notting Hill, the streets of Chelsea and Fulham are blooming at this time of year, and tomorrow I hope to make a trip to Regents Park to see the trees in full bloom there too. Where are your favourite places to see the beautiful blossoms in London?
