Why I Can’t Get Enough of Floral Dresses

If there’s one style of garment in my wardrobe that I’m wearing on repeat at this transitional time of year, it’s the floral maxi dress. If you follow me over on Instagram, you’ll have been treated to countless designs, ranging from the highstreet, to the premium price points; I just can’t get enough of them. I always look out for pieces that are incredibly feminine, yet polished and pretty too – florals can look a little ‘young’ sometimes, so the muted shades and elegant silhouette of this dress is absolutely perfect.
Yes, the floaty shape may not flatter a toned figure, but BOY is it comfortable, and if you’re looking for something with plenty of room for indulgence ahead of Easter weekend, this dress has you covered (I also keep thinking that it would be the perfect early maternity dress! I’m not hiding a bump under here, I promise!). With the elegant knee length hem, this dress is appropriate for both a day in the office, and an afternoon with friends. It’s modest thanks to the material on the bodice and long sleeved design, but the pleated skirt keeps it fun and flirty.
Despite it’s arguably unflattering shape, it’s even got Charlie’s nod of approval, and I paired it with my favourite accessories; I have not stopped wearing these ultra versatile Tory Burch mules – the pointed toe makes them super flattering and the neutral colour means they go with everything! Equally these classic Fendi sunglasses have been a great investment, and add a subtle designer touch to all my outfits; I’ll be wearing them all Summer! Finally, I’m obsessed with pearl hair clips (have you guessed?!) and this affordable ASOS number is my current favourite!
