NET-A-PORTER just launched a Sustainable Edit – NET SUSTAIN

As if I needed another reason to adore shopping on NET-A-PORTER, the retailer has now launched a new platform to highlight the brands which have a focus on sustainability, at the core of their brand. From bikinis and dresses, to bags and jewellery, items on the site have been chosen based on the brands sustainable practises, their considered materials, focus on reducing waste and the craft and community aspects behind the brands and the products.

So many of my favourite brands and products are now marked with the ‘NET SUSTAIN’ tag of approval, and today I wanted to highlight a few top picks!

This  their collaboration with BBC earth is the perfect summer blouse. Pair with white jeans and espadrille sandals for a relaxed daytime look, or choose a beautiful skirt to style the blouse up for special occasions. The pearl button detail is a beautiful finishing touch, and the soft pink shade is ultra wearable.

The instant way to elevate an outfit this summer is with a pair of hanging earrings and this pair of ticks every box. Hand blown in LA, each pair is unique, and they look fabulous with tousled waves or with your hair pinned back – so elegant!

Handmade by skilled artisans, this is a Summer holiday staple piece. Pair over your swimsuit or with heeled sandals in the evening, it’s a beautiful capsule wardrobe piece that you’ll wear on repeat this Summer!

Exclusive to NET-A-PORTER, this was hand made in the Philippines with locally sourced straw – an energy saving production method – and is an instant way to add a chic finish to your white Summer dress or beach look! I can’t wait to style this up in Ibiza next week!

A s the ultimate accessory this Summer, and this design was ethically crafted in Brazil by locals; add to the bags airmiles by whisking it away on your upcoming vacations for a chic finish to your beach #ootd.

Thanks to NET SUSTAIN, I discovered the and darlings I have a new favourite!! Not only are the designs beautiful, but the swimwear is made from ECONYL, a fabric made from abandoned fishing nets and other nylon waste found in landfills and oceans. Talk about up-cycling! Helping the planet AND incredible designs, I can not wait to shop more from this brand!

A high waisted bikini like this is always ultra flattering; and I’m obsessed with this stunning blue shade! The bow detail is beautiful feminine touch, and the best part is that the fibres are made from old fishing lets and plastic water bottles. Pick up your reusable water bottle and beach bag and you’re set for an Eco-Chic beach look!

So darlings, what do you think of the new NET SUSTAIN initiative? Are you as impressed as I am?! I think it’s a brilliant way to highlight and also encourage brands to do what they can for the environment and for fair working conditions, let’s hope it encourages many more to step up their game too! What will you be picking up from NET SUSTAIN?
