The Perfect White Summer Dresses

Summer 2024 has been a summer of travelling around some of the most beautiful corners of Europe, exploring ancient villages and eating scoop after scoop of pistachio ice cream! Throughout our travels, I’ve found myself reaching for my gorgeous white dresses whether we are lounging by the pool, going out for dinner or cruising around Lake Garda on our rented boat. I therefore felt inspired to pull together an edit of my favourite white dresses available online and across a range of price tags.

 

 

White Dresses from the High Street

There are so many fantastic white dress options from the high street, which can be dressed up with a couple of luxury accessories meaning you can get the luxury look for less. For example, this very affordable dress from River Island can be paired with a designer bag and some designer sandals, to get a put-together and more luxurious look, without having to splurge on an expensive dress. Another white high street dress that I’ve added to my wardrobe recently is this one from & Other Stories. This dress has some beautiful design details, and could easily be from Net-a-Porter if you dress it up with some gorgeous tan accessories and your favourite sunglasses.

 

 

 

Mid-range White Dresses

A dress that’s on my wishlist is this lovely shirt dress from Ralph Lauren; the perfect casual dress to wear while running errands, while still looking put-together. During our Italy trip, I’ve been wearing this dress from Faithfull a lot; it’s the perfect dress for a hot day due to the light linen fabric, and it’s perfect to pull on over a bikini. Back in the UK on cooler summer days, I find myself reaching for this wonderful dress from Hobbs. It’s the perfect dress for a day of meetings in London, or for a more casual work event.

 

 

Luxury White Dresses

And finally, here are some gorgeous white dresses at a higher price point. This midi dress from Reiss may have a simple silhouette, but it has some stunning design details, such as the small slit at the front, and the cut out detail at the bottom. This dress would make an incredible wedding dress if you were eloping and getting married in a simple registry office or chapel! When I think of Farm Rio, I think of bright colours and bold patterns, but it turns out they also do white dresses very well. This beautiful dress would be a fun option to wear for dinner while on holiday. Again, Zimmermann wouldn’t be the first brand I think of when I think of white dresses, but of course they still have some beautiful options; this appliqué mini dress would be perfect for a plethora of summer events, while this lace maxi dress would be a better option if you prefer longer dresses as I do.
