Palettes are one of my favourite beauty investments.
You can discover new beautiful colour combinations, introduce new finishes to your eye look, or layer different tones building an everyday look into a smoky evening finish. Multi-product palettes are perfect for creating a full look with just one purchase, and lately a few beautiful ones have appeared on the beauty scene.
When it comes to selecting a palette that’s right for your makeup routine, I opt for one with subtle colours that I can use on a daily basis, as well as more dramatic shades to build a bold look. I love that I can pop a palette or two in my handbag or travel bag, and it offers a condensed edit of products, all in one beautiful palette.
Here are a few palettes I have been loving recently to give my beauty routine a revamp;
Pinch yourself! Because this palette is not just a beauty blogger’s dream – it really is the most stunning face palette to ever exist!
As soon as I first laid eyes on the new on Instagram a few months ago, I just knew I had to get one. If, like me, you’ve already invested in a few Hourglass products, perhaps a blusher (or two, or three…) the bronzer and more than one Ambient Lighting Powder, you’ll be pleased to hear that the Edit contains all new, never seen before shades.
The perfect complete palette with everything you need for a healthy looking, instagram worthy glow including Surreal Light, a nude all-over face powder giving a soft perfected finish, Surreal Strobe Light – a peachy pink which adds a beautiful radiance to your finished look, and Surreal Bronze Light – an easy to wear bronze hue, with a touch of Surreal Light giving you an everyday bronze warmth.
At £69, the is an investment buy for your beautiful collection, but easily the most affordable way to try out the stunning Hourglass products before deciding which favourite to invest in!
Would a post about palettes be complete without Urban Decay? I think not!
The newest Naked Palette to rock the beauty world is the Naked Ultimate Basics. For a nude eye lover like me, this is seriously exciting news. Encased in a rose gold palette, and with a spectrum of nude easy to wear tones, there truly is nothing basic about this new launch.
The 12 neutral-hued shades are totally matte – making them ultra wearable and easy to layer. As with other Urban Decay eyeshadows, I would describe the texture as velvety, and the colour payoff as rich and pigmented. The staying power and blend ability has been perfected by the brand, and the silky matte colours apply equally as well on bare skin and on a primed eyelid.
Some of my favourites include the taupe-y brown smokey shades of Commando and Instinct, which have swiftly become my new everyday eye shades.
Ultimate Basics is £38.50 – available online .
Beauty Palette’s don’t come more luxurious than this!
Tom Ford’s Soleil Palette is available In Store.
You’ll have to be quick to get your hands on this one!
The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette is selling out fast, and with good reason – it’s seriously special. If you like your makeup collection to be refined, only a few key products, then you’ll truly appreciate this wonderful edit.
Each item within the new palette has been chosen to suit every woman’s beauty needs, day to night, but with the fewest products possible. The colours are chosen to enhance, enrich and colour correct thanks to Charlotte’s sophisticated formulas, and the wearable shades work on all skin tones, giving an effortless glow, even while on the go.
The 7 products inside give a You-But-Better look, including the Eye Brighten colour correcting shadow for all over application on the eyelids, Eye Enhance to add depth and dimension with the champagne illuminating shade, and Eye Smoke, to bring more definition to a smokey eye look with the flattering taupe shade.
For your base, the Face Bronzer can be applied to chosen areas such as cheekbone hollows or the jaw line to create contour and shape, or all over for a warm glow. I also adore the two cheek shades (I often blend the two) which hive a healthy, warm glow.
Finally, highlight fans rejoice for the 7th powder is Charlotte’s Face highlighter – the candlelight for skin, giving a hint of glow to the cheekbones, nose and bow of the lips.
Now, I just need Charlotte to come and apply it for me and I’m truly smitten!
Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Palette is £49 and available .
