Gordes was a breathtaking town…
… a historical fortified town on a hilltop within the Alpes-Côte d’azur region of Provence. Known as one of the most beautiful villages in France, it’s easy to see why as you turn through the narrow roads that lead you to the incredible views of Gordes. Charlie and I drove through Gordes on our way to the Abbey Senanque on our first afternoon in the area, and decided to return the following evening to watch the sun set. We’d heard great things about Bastide De Gordes, and arrived there just in time to catch the sun disappearing behind the hills – of what was one of the most beautiful Golden hours I have ever experienced! We enjoyed delicious Grey Goose cocktails while listening to a jazz band before making our way to La Trinquette – a restaurant that Charlie had chosen for dinner.
On this particular evening I’d opted for a , but knowing that there would be lots of steep hills to traverse, I added a more casual finish to the look wearing my white flat mules, and my to finish. For the finer details I chose my and – probably my most worn accessories of the whole trip!
