Valentines Day Gift Ideas

Is it just me, or do you feel like Valentines day always creeps up SO quickly after the New Year, and I’m NEVER ready! This year, I want to be prepared, and choose some sweet gifts and a card that I know will bring a smile to his face.

It’s always tempting to pick something generic up on the high street, but I often find more unique online retailers have the best selection, so all of these pieces have been chosen from Etsy; they’re often hand made and can easily be personalised- just make sure you give enough time for your order to arrive!

Firstly, this wall decoration with your two names is a really sweet gift, perfect if you’ve recently moved in together or have an area of your home that needs a chic update! I love the hand written style, and it’s lovely to add a date too; perhaps to commemorate your first date, or a proposal date maybe?!

Of course, any dog related cards are a big tick for me! It’s pretty much a running theme with Charlie and I that are Valentines cards are dog related, if not the cards we give to each other, it’s the cards that Dexter and Dickens give to us! This one pretty much summarises our family dynamic!

If your other half is a homebody and loves to create a romantic atmosphere at home, a candle makes for a lovely gift, and this one has a really sweet message too, especially if you or your partner travels frequently!

Of course this wouldn’t be a Fashion Mumblr gift guide without a few specific sausage dog themed gifts! I love this wall art, complete with kissing sausage dogs! The great thing about Etsy is that there are literally hundreds of talented sellers creating handmade artworks like this, so no matter your favourite breed, you’ll be able to get a perfect personalised gift!

Date night is SO important, especially when you’re living together and tend to do the same thing day after day, night after night, so this jar of Date Night Ideas is a really lovely gift to inspire you to do something fun together and break the routine!

It might not be for everyone, but the romantics amongst us will appreciate this treasure box full of ‘Reasons I Love You!’ – how cute is that?! Your other half is sure to appreciate the thought and care that’s gone into writing the personalised messages!

Another practical personalised gift is this pretty initialled bowl, I don’t know about you, but Charlie and I would use this for our naughty sweet treats when we have film night at home!

If your other half is into their potted plants (how very adult of him!) then he or she will appreciate this cute trio of cacti plants in these chic ceramic bowls. The best part is that they’re super easy to care for too, so no arguments about who forgot water the plants!

Finally, the card I’ll be choosing this year, oh I do love a Sausage dog card and this one has to be the best one I’ve seen!

Will you be treating your other half to a gift this Valentines Day? Or what would you like to be treated to this year? xoxo
