10 Christmas Gifts you Can’t Go Wrong With
Ah the first festive post of Christmas 2020 – today I’m sharing a selection of failsafe gift ideas, to spoil your loved ones with this Christmas! We are finding ourselves getting into the festive spirit earlier than ever this year, and I have a confession – most of my Christmas shopping is already done! I’ve already shared a small business Christmas Gift Guide and Beauty Gift Guide over on YouTube, but here we have the perfect gifts which will show you put a heap of thought and consideration into choosing the most wonderful gift for your lucky recipients this year.
This post includes a paid integration with Hotel Chocolat
Let’s start with an obvious one..
Oh yes – you absolutely can’t go wrong with a Chocolate gift and Hotel Chocolat have everything from Chocolate hampers, to Advent calendars and even this fabulous The Chocolate and Fizz Collection set which I guarantee will award you top marks for festive gifting this year. The latter of which I couldn’t resist opening up already – the Salted Caramel Puddles are the ultimate treat to enjoy while enjoying your afternoon coffee and writing blog posts…. dare I say!

The Ultimate Chocolate Advent Calendar
Yes we are spoilt for choice each year with beauty advent calendars, with each door revealing a new delight from cleansers to face masks, but, I must confess, the calendar that I most look forward to opening each day throughout December is still the chocolate Advent calendar!
Spoilt for choice by Hotel Chocolat, choose from The Everything Advent which contains a little indulgence to enjoy every day up to Christmas with the brand’s best-selling chocolates. My personal favourite is the Caramel Cheesecake, but you’ll find imaginative flavours inside too such as Apple Strudel and Raspberry Smoothie!
For those that enjoy the classic treats, The Advent Calendar – Milk version is a fail safe; with a daily treat of the signature milk chocolate blend – it truly is worth getting out of bed for to enjoy the creamiest, most decadent of chocolates with your morning coffee, every day to Christmas!
The ultimate treat for Chocolate lovers this Christmas has to be The Everything Chocolate Hamper Collection – just wow! Hotel Chocolat have chocolatey indulgences from £20 all the way up to £300 – I especially have my eye on the ‘Meltingly Good’ set – how fabulous to enjoy melted chocolate in front of the fire on a frosty winter evening?! Bliss!
Stocking fillers are sorted too – with the Chocolate Latte set calling my name…
A totally luxurious gift this year, as we all cherish time with loved ones at home, is a luxury board game. I have fallen in love with the and they make the most wonderful gifts; currently reduced in the Black Friday sales too! From Scrabble, to Backgammon and Monopoly – what a wonderful gift for the whole family to enjoy this festive season.
We’ve also tried to shoot local as much as possible, and a favourite discovery are the Natural Light Candles, hand poured right here in the Cotswolds, and the most striking designs in these hammered copper holders. The soy wax is infused with scents including Elderflower and Winter Honeysuckle – a gentle and warming fragrance to enjoy all year round.
A wonderful gift idea that just keeps giving, would be a flower subscription, and my absolute favourites as I’m sure you know are Arena flowers. A subscription costs just £20 per week, for the most beautiful blooms – my favourites so far have been the most spectacular deep red Hydrangeas, which we still display in our fireplace more than a month later, as they have dried out so beautifully! Arena flowers are the ‘UKs most ethical florist’ – planting trees for every bouquet sold, no unnecessary plastic, and the most beautiful displays delivered straight to your lucky recipients door.
Home fragrances always make for the most wonderful gift too, and this year I have fallen in love with Dr Vranjes diffusers in particular. The newest to my collection is the Rosso Nobile collection; in a deep rouge shade and available in a gift set with a candle too, it is a rich yet fruity scent, which fills the room with a warm and festive fragrance.
A truly wonderful gift is another type of – a reusable, refillable one which you fill with personalised treats for the recipient. Charlie has started the most wonderful tradition of gifting me a home made advent calendar for my birthday, at the end of November, filled with treats to enjoy every day (as well as the chocolate!) in December. I adore this traditional wooden design one, which will look like a beautiful decoration and can take centre stage in the living room!
A brand that makes for perfect festive gifting is Sophie Allport (save 15% with our code; OURHOME15) – from dog beds to Aga hot plate covers, tea towels and mugs (perfect for your Chocolate Lattes!), Charlie and I have recently switched out our dark green Fox pattern aga covers and tea towel for the lovely festive holly patterned ones; and wouldn’t they just make the loveliest gift!
And last but absolutely not least, something to enjoy fresh out of the aga with your afternoon coffee…. oh yes, Daylesford Mince Pies! Mince pies really don’t come much lovelier than this, and this time I won’t be letting Charlie anywhere near them!
