My Bucket List for a Cosy Autumn in The Cotswolds
People often ask me what my favourite time of year in The Cotswolds is, and I find it a really tricky question to answer as every season offers something special; the sight of fresh baby lambs in spring, gorgeous wildflowers lining the lanes in summer, the stunning landscapes as the leaves begin to turn in autumn, the joy of a frosty sunrise walk in winter. Autumn truly is a wonderful time to be in The Cotswolds, and so whether you’re planning a visit or you’re a Cotswolds local, read on for some fabulous ideas of things to do this season!
Pick your own pumpkins
at Cotswold Farm Park, starting on 4th October.
Learn how to preserve your autumn harvest

Grab a chai latte
from Quince & Clover, our favourite cafe in The Cotswolds!
Go for a Sunday roast in a cosy pub
such as The Fox at Oddington, after a chilly morning walk passing through the Daylesford estate.
See the autumn colours
at Batsford Arboretum or Westonbirt Arboretum from the end of October and through November.
Head out on a spooky light trail
which begins at Blenheim Palace on 25th October.
Go foraging
for blackberries, damsons, sloes, hawthorne berries and rosehips; all of which can be used in baking or to make immunity boosting tinctures!
Celebrate the autumn produce
by attending Daylesford’s Apple Day Feast on 26th October.
Cosy up in front of the fire
with a tray of homemade mac & cheese.
